The Trout Creek Friendship Club will host an information meeting for the Powassan and District Family Health Team at the Trout Creek Senior's Hall at 138 McEachern Street Wednesday February 8th, 2012 at 1:45 pm. Dessert and Coffee will follow; everyone is welcome.

The following is a list of dates for Blood Donor Clinics happening in the Municipality of Powassan at Legion Branch 453. Please call 1-888-2-donate to book an appointment or simply drop in.

Yoga classes will run every Monday from 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm at the Sportsplex at a cost of $5.00/person, per class. Drop-ins are always welcome.

The annual Trout Creek Carnival will take place Family Day weekend at the Community Centre. Wednesday evening the Trout Creek Lion's host a $1000.00 jackpot bingo, Thursday features the Tiny Tot pageant, Friday sees the candle lit walk and the beginning of the Men's and Ladies hockey tournaments running through till Sunday, Saturday the children's games, sleigh rides and fireworks as well as the dance (19 yrs and older only) with the pancake breakfast running Sunday.

Weekend wristbands are $8.00 each, $5 for a single day, ages 12 and under are free.

TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Powassan will hold a statutory Public Meeting to consider a proposed Official Plan Amendment and a proposed Zoning By-law Amendment under Sections 22 and 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.P. 1990, c.P. 13, as amended.

Dog tags for 2012 are now available at the municipal office Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm. Interac, Cash and Cheque are acceptable forms of payment.

All dogs are required to be tagged on or before April 30th, 2012.

Please note that the December utility bill has a payment due date of January 5th, 2012 to avoid interference with holiday schedules.
