Both water and sewer services are available in the former town of Powassan. This utility is charged to each user based on a flat rate for residential users and a metered rate for larger commercial users. Water and Sewer are self-sufficient ledgers with absolutely no tax dollars being allocated.

The Municipality has installed a new, up-to-date, water tower within that was activated on April 27, 2007. There was a 1 million dollar fund from the Northern Ontario Hertitage Fund Coporation that assisted in offsetting the cost to the water and sewer users.
