South River Reservoir (The Hydro Pond)

Looking for somewhere to cool off in the summer? Well pack up the family and make it a day at the beach. We have a beautiful picnic shelter and brand new change rooms/washroom facilities. The green grass makes another great place for a picnic or to just laze around and catch a tan. From the long weekend in May until Thanksgiving weekend we have a 20 foot square “dock” out for your enjoyment, and if you are out there long enough you might catch a glance at some of our beautiful wildlife around the pond.

FOR ALL THE ANGLERS

Just a little to the right is a wonderful, paved, gradually sloping, drop off free boat launch, which was built in 2000. There is a large parking area with plenty of room for turning around.

*July hosts a Fishing Derby on the Reservoir. Contact the Municipal Office for more information.
