Welcome to the Municipality of Powassan
Nestled among breathtaking hills and surrounded by dozens of lakes and rivers, the Municipality of Powassan is a great place to live or visit. With a population of over 3,200, the entire municipality has a small-town, friendly atmosphere that welcomes newcomers and old acquaintances alike.
The Municipality of Powassan is a great place to be – all year round! In the summer, clear, cool waters beacon to the outdoor enthusiast, while many sporting events for all activity levels are available throughout the community. All winter long, there’s cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, ice-skating, ice fishing and more! And nearly every month, there’s a festival or community event that’s perfect for the whole family.
The Municipality of Powassan is continuously encouraging new growth. Current projects include upgrades to municipal water and waste-water infrastructure, the development of recreational trails, and the creation of a public astronomical observatory, just to name a few.

In the wake of the internationally observed Earth Hour, the Municipality of Powassan is happy to announce that we are taking it another step.
At its regular meeting of April 15, 2008, the Council of the Municipality of Powassan passed a resolution declaring each and every Friday Power Down Fridays.

Our goal is to bring Junior Hockey back to the town of Powassan and surrounding area! We are looking at this as an opportunity to develop and foster community spirit and to be a part of the revitalization of hockey in our area.
Our Vision:
• Develop our players, and give them the opportunity and exposure needed through hockey, to learn, grow and achieve their full potential in the hopes of gaining a future scholarship or to move to the higher major junior levels.
