Interim Property Taxes

• Are mailed out in February and due by the last business day of March
• These are half of the previous year’s taxes

 Final Property Taxes

• The final tax bill is calculated based on an assessment provided by MPAC. Go to MPAC's website to find out more about their assessment process.        
• The final tax bill is mailed out in June and is split into two payments.:
  • The first payment is due by the last business day of July
  • The second payment is due by the last business day of September

 How to pay your taxes:

• Cash
• Debit
• Cheque – made payable to the Corporation of the Municipality of Powassan
• Online Banking
  • The roll number found at the top of your tax bill is your account number
• Pre-authorized payments
  • 12 automatic payments made on the first Friday of each month
